The album artwork for “13” became as iconic as the sounds it enclosed: a fiery “13” against the darkly forbidding backdrop, while the letters of the band floated starkly above it. Another went on to invoke memories of playing the record to death back in high school and lamented the way Sabbath really shaped his tastes in doom metal and rock.
