“Hell’s Kitchen,” a musical inspired by Alicia Keys’ teenage years in New York City, and “Stereophonic,” the tale of a rock band on the verge of breaking up, led the 2024 Tony Awards nominations. Both productions garnered a leading 13 nods, with “Hell’s Kitchen” exploring the early development of a future pop icon and “Stereophonic” delving into the grittier, drug-fueled side of the music world. Celebrities in attendance include Angelina Jolie (producer for “The Outsiders) and Brooke Shields (who arrived in crocks), Keys and many more.
