Tony Armstrong encourages fans to vote for him to be the first Aboriginal to win a Gold Logie: 'They would be a positive part of history'

Tony Armstrong has a very good reason for hoping to win the Gold Logie this year.

'Viewers should vote for me because they would then be a positive part of history if that campaign is successful, because no Aboriginal person's ever won this award before,' the 34-year-old told TV Tonight this week. Co-host Michael Rowland teased Armstrong after sharing a promotional photo of the hunky star frowning. In addition to his Gold Logie nomination, Irwin, along with Morris, Emdur, Kruger, and Armstrong, are also vying for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.
