Tones and I reveals she endured 'body-shaming' and was told she 'wasn't pretty enough' to be a singer in heartbreaking post

Tones and I has opened up about enduring 'body-shaming' in the music industry at the beginning of her career.

The Australian singer shared a candid post to Instagram on Wednesday admitting she had encountered a lot of setbacks in her career as she announced the release of her new album. 'I never really open up or go into detail on how this industry (including the public) beat me down, so far down whilst I continued to grind my way tooth and nail into a position that statistically I deserved but from face value was always under attack,' she began. 'Hot, talented, beautiful, gorg etc etc' wrote Aussie singer Thelma Plum in the comments, while American rapper Macklemore added heart and fire emojis.
