Tommy Wirkola Shark Thriller ‘Beneath the Storm’ Starring Phoebe Dynevor Lands August 2025 Release
"Violent Night" director Tommy Wirkola's shark thriller "Beneath the Storm" will be released theatrically Aug. 1, 2025 via Columbia Pictures.
The film, written by Wirkola, stars Phoebe Dynevor(“Bridgerton,” “Fair Play”), Whitney Peak (“Gossip Girl,” “Hocus Pocus 2”) and Djimon Hounsou (“Rebel Moon,” “A Quiet Place: Day One”) and is produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick. Peak led Max’s reboot of “Gossip Girl” for two seasons, and starred in the Disney+ sequel “Hocus Pocus 2.” She’s next set to appear in “Trap House” with Dave Bautista. Hounsou most recently starred in “A Quiet Place: Day One” and in parts 1 and 2 of Zack Snyder’s Netflix film series “Rebel Moon.” He is a two-time Oscar nominee for his performances in 2002’s “In America” and 2006’s “Blood Diamond.”
