The actor - who is currently preparing for the release of his memoir- expressed that he was not looking forward to the series' conclusion, and stated that he had learned to 'love the work' over the years. Selleck recalled: 'When I saw the eight-page dinner scene in [exec producer] Leonard Goldberg's pilot script, I said, "They're going to cut that, aren't they?"
