Tom Sandoval Knows It’s ‘Really Weird’ to Compare ‘Scandoval’ to O.J. Simpson or George Floyd — But Still Does

Tom Sandoval dubiously compared the way his 'Vanderpump' cheating scandal was covered to the O.J. Simpson trial and murder of George Floyd.

Well, here’s a post that should come as no surprise to Tom Sandoval ’s PR team, or the public relations folks at Bravo, or even Vanderpump Rules executive producer Alex Baskin: The widely reviled reality star went ahead and tossed out a half-baked comparison between the media attention garnered by “Scandoval” with that of the O.J. Journalist Irina Aleksander says word of Sandoval’s comment quickly got back to his PR team, who asked that she not attend a confessional taping the next day; Baskin, the Vanderpump EP, also called, as did a Bravo rep, apparently offering an interview with another cast member instead. One thing the story — which is truly excellent; go read it in full — does not make clear is whether all these people were similarly concerned by one of the other bonkers quotes Sandoval dropped when describing the intense vitriol he received in the wake of Scandoval: “I feel like I got more hate than Danny Masterson and he’s a convicted rapist.”
