Flanagan, the true horror legend who brought us The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, directs Hiddleston, the most recognizable star in the cast, as Loki from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A very tongue-in-cheek comment from Vest read, “Can’t wait to see Loki’s origin story!”-and fair point, Hiddleston kinda does have that eternal trickster demeanor. Flanagan, with his psychological horror and heavy-duty emotional punches, makes one think The Life of Chuck could be another gem or least an intensely bent trip.
