Tom Felton to reprise Draco Malfoy role on Broadway

The actor will return to the role as the villainous character from Slytherin house in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in New York

Tom Felton, who played the Slytherin antagonist throughout the film adaptations of JK Rowling’s books, which were released between 2001 and 2011, is to reprise the role in the Broadway production of the long-running stage spin-off Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The two-part play, which stretches over five hours in total, focuses on Harry Potter, now an employee at the Ministry of Magic, his wife, Ginny Weasley, and the struggles of their son, Albus Severus, who is now attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The enduring appeal of Rowling’s characters is indicated not only by the play’s continuing popularity in London and New York but also by the vast investment being made in the forthcoming small screen adaptation of the seven novels.
