Tom Cruise, 61, flashes a smile as he lands his helicopter in London as filming continues on Mission Impossible's eighth instalment

The Hollywood actor, 61, looked to be in good spirits as he touched down in London after flying himself to the capital on his helicopter.

The Oscar nominee — who is a trained pilot — completed the look with a pair of white Nike trainers, and blue quilted coat and carried his belongings in an unzipped black rucksack. The Vanilla Sky actor who had forgotten to tie his shoe laces, was joined by his sisters husband, Greg Capazorio and his talent manger's son, Declan Huvane. Although news of the high-flying sequel struck some as an attempt to blunt the positive publicity Warner Bros. was getting for scoring a Tom connection, THR reports that it has been quietly in development since the late fall.
