Tom Cruise Still Talks to ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ Director About Making a Sequel, Even 10 Years Later; Doug Liman Says: ‘We Love That World’
Doug Liman just re-watched "Edge of Tomorrow" with Tom Cruise and the two men continue to have talks about a planned sequel.
Speaking to Empire magazine, Liman said that he recently rewatched the 2014 action movie with his leading man and the two continue to be in touch about the long-planned sequel. Liman, Cruise and co-star Emily Blunt have all expressed continued interest in making “Edge of Tomorrow 2” during the 10 years since the original film’s release. The 2014 film was based on novel “All You Need Is Kill” by Hiroshi Sakurazaka and starred Cruise has a soldier reliving the same day over and over as he tries to prevent an alien invasion from wiping out humanity.
