“The relationship Craig and Lindsay have is so adorable, they really shine when they work together because their on-air banter is so authentic,” an insider exclusively tells Closer. “It won’t surprise anyone if Lindsay eventually ends up joining the show on a full-time basis but first the network will start with testing her out, that’s what they typically do. Craig’s family was on hand to surprise him on Today after it was announced that he would be taking over Hoda Kotb ’s role as Savannah Guthrie ’s coanchor amid her departure from the show.
