Toby Keith's 3 Children Attend 2024 CMT Awards Ahead of Tribute Performance Honoring Their Late Father
On April 7, Toby Keith's three children — Shelley Covel Rowland, Krystal Keith and Stelen Keith Covel — walked the red carpet at the 2024 CMT Awards ahead of a tribute performance for their father, who died on Feb. 5.
In a red carpet interview with CMT, Stelen, 27, spoke about feeling as though his father would be honored to see so many of his friends come together in celebration of his life and career. Toby's death came nearly three years after he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2021, and the loss prompted an outpouring of love from the country music community and his children alike. The 2024 CMT Music Awards are airing live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on CBS and Paramount+.
