TLC releases preview for My 600-Lb. Life's 12th season focused on seven patients looking to overcome serious health problems stemming from obesity
The forthcoming season of the reality series follows a set of seven 'morbidly obese patients' as they 'strive to lose weight through diet and gastric bypass surgery.'
The patients embark on their weight loss journeys 'with the help of' Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, a bariatric surgeon based out of Houston who counsels them about the changes they need to make to prepare for the surgical procedure. In the preview, a patient named William was seen feasting on a pair of pizza pies topped with chips, as his mother was heard talking about her concerns for his future. The preview also chronicles patients taking trips to Dr. Nowzaradan's office, as well as dealing with everyday tasks that are complicated due to their size, such as boarding a plane.
