Tippi Hedren celebrates 95th birthday with daughter Melanie Griffith after dementia diagnosis
Tippi Hedren celebrated her 95th birthday on Sunday. Her daughter, actress Melanie Griffith , 67, shared a rare video of the Hollywood icon on Monday, wishing her a happy birthday.
Last year in February representatives for the iconic film star confirmed that Hedren is battling dementia and 'can't remember her career'; Melanie pictured with Tippi in 2016 This included attaching live birds to her body with rubber bands, according to Lawrence Leamer, author of Hitchcock's Blondes: The Unforgettable Women Behind the Director's Dark Obsession. Hedren has been a vocal animal rights activist, with a particular interest in big cats - even welcoming them into her home, including a 300-pound lion named Neil who she kept as a pet.
