Tina Turner’s ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’ to Feature Even More of Simply the Best
Tina Turner's 'What's Love Got to Do With It' soundtrack album will be reissued this spring as an expanded box set.
These included “Nutbush City Limits,” “Proud Mary,” and “A Fool in Love.” She was in her early 50s, her voice still sounded great, and the album became a hit. The concert took place at San Bernardino, California’s Blockbuster Pavilion, on Sept. 15, 1993, and the box set includes the gig both as audio and on the DVD. She’d written about all she endured in her 1986 memoir, I, Tina, which served as the basis for the movie What’s Love Got to Do With It, which starred Angela Bassett as the singer.
