Despite missing out on the Best Actor award, the star of A Great Unknown still had reason to smile after a hilarious encounter with the comedian
Early in the evening, host Conan O'Brien teased Sandler over his casual ensemble during a funny bit. Spotted in the crowd, the Happy Gilmore actor stood out in his bright blue hoodie and gym shorts amid the sea of formal wear. The actress's offensive social media posts over several years surfaced and, out of the 13 nominations the film received, they only managed to secure two.
