While hardcore Chalamet fans had an inkling about the project, more details have now emerged including an exciting update on who will be directing.
The Dune and Wonka actor's fans have been on tenterhooks for news about this project ever since he hinted at a table tennis-themed film in an old interview clip that recently resurfaced. Reisman was hailed as a 'wizard of table tennis', bagging 22 major ping pong titles from 1946 to 2002 with a forehand shot that could reportedly hit speeds of 115 mph. In a candid chat with Variety earlier this year, Benny Safdie explained that their new direction wasn't due to any rift but rather a "natural progression of what we each want to explore."
