Timothée Chalamet Set For Chairman’s Award At Palm Springs Film Festival


The Palm Springs Film Festival will honor Timothée Chalamet with its 2025 Chairman’s Award for his performance as Bob Dylan in the biopic 'A Complete Unknown.'

The Palm Springs Film Festival said today that Timothée Chalamet will receive its 2025 Chairman’s Award for his performance as Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s biopic about rock’s most celebrated songwriter. Dylan forges intimate relationships with music icons of Greenwich Village on his meteoric rise, culminating in a groundbreaking and controversial performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival that reverberates worldwide. Chalamet does his own singing in the film, which opens on Christmas Day in North America and also stars Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash and Scoot McNairy as Woody Guthrie.
