Timothée Chalamet pokes fun at his lack of award show success as he opens third SNL hosting stint with a montage of his 'losing face'


The actor, 29, has been nominated for two Academy Awards , three BAFTAs and four Golden Globes - but is yet to win a gong.

'I'm truly overjoyed, I was literally crying in my dressing room when I found out because the entire creative team worked so incredibly hard bringing to life the brilliant artist Bob Dylan, the man who's music and career has become a guiding light to me. Introduced by Adam Sandler, Timothée kicked off with a raucous rock-and-roll rendition of Outlaw Blues before slowing the tempo for a soulful Three Angels, performed sitting next to James Blake on piano. While he's primarily known for his acting—having recently earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown —Timothée also sang in the biopic, so his musical talents weren't a total surprise
