EXCLUSIVE: James Gunn has just announced on Instagram that Mean Girls and Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows is joining the second season of DC’s Max series The Peacemaker opposite John Cena. In addition, Deadline has separately learned that Superbad filmmaker Greg Mottola will be helming a few episodes. At one point during its run and the early days of streamer HBO Max, Peacemaker was a widely viewed series, and its Feb. 17, 2022 finale broke the record for highest single day viewership for an original episode by the OTT service.
