Tim Allen Plots Another Return to ABC, Which Orders Comedy Pilot ‘Shifting Gears’
ABC has given a pilot order to Tim Allen's latest sitcom, "Shifting Gears" (working title), from 20th Television.
In the project, Allen plays Matt, the “stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker and Rick Messina are the non-writing exec producers on the show. Among other recent credits, Allen’s 10-episode series “More Power” premiered in 2022 on History Channel, reuniting him with his “Home Improvement” co-star Richard Karn.
