Ticketmaster Sued Over Massive Data Breach

Ticketmaster faces a class action lawsuit over the massive data breach it suffered earlier this year from the hacker group ShinyHunters.

Ticketmaster is facing a class action lawsuit over the massive data breach the company suffered from the hacker group ShinyHunters earlier this year. That latter suit, reviewed by Rolling Stone, alleges that the breach was “a direct result of [Ticketmaster’s] failure to implement adequate and reasonable data protection procedures.” The suit states that Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation Entertainment had said that the hacker group gained access to the data in April.
