This Morning's year of hell: Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd take over as new hosts after months of scandal, feuding and shock exits on the ITV show


After over a year of turmoil, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have been unveiled as the new hosts of ITV's This Morning taking over from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield .

The same month, This Morning bosses denied show hosts Holly and Phillip had 'VIP access' and filed 'past the Queen lying in state' as they filmed a segment for the programme at Westminster Hall in London. The presenters cut sombre figures as they dressed in black and visited the Queen's coffin to film for an upcoming episode which was due to air the day after the late monarch's state funeral. Managing Director, ITV Studios Daytime, Emma Gormley added: 'I feel immensely proud of everyone working on This Morning - for a programme that has evolved many times over the last 35 years, it remains just as relevant and exciting as ever...
