This Morning's Cat Deeley and her predecessor Holly Willoughby will go head-to-head for the same honour at the National Television Awards

The pair will battle it out to be named Best Television Presenter, with both appearing on the longlist ahead of the ceremony in September.

The ultimate test of public popularity, viewers will now be able to vote for their favourite presenter, whittling it down to a shortlist of top talent, which will be released in August. Ms Deeley, best known to British viewers for hosting children's television shows SM:TV and CD:UK in the late 1990s and early 2000s, has already proved popular since her debut in March. Netflix's smash hit show Baby Reindeer has been recognised in the Best New Drama category, with both Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning nominated for their roles.
