Kate Lawler has hit back at fans who accused her of 'criticising' small business this week after she DIY'd a project rather than paying for a professional to do it. The ordeal began when Kate shared an Instagram reel detailing how she had designed a balloon arch herself for her mother-in-law's birthday, with the project costing just £67, after being quoted £250 for a professional to do it. Making a post in response to the backlash, Kate explained that her intentions were to provide a cheaper alternative for people who couldn't afford the work of professionals - blasting the 'Karens' for trolling her.
