The title of the finale in season 3 is “Amor Fati,” which is Latin for “love of fate.” Fans have watched Piper ( Sarah CatherineHook) repeatedly wrestle with coming to terms with her parents’ seemingly close-minded view of the world, but when she visited the monastery, her dad, Tim, actually sought out one of the monks to ask him about his thoughts on the afterlife. That may have made Tim feel that killing himself, dying altogether – would be a positive release from his pain in a way he didn’t know about before,” one viewer wrote in The White Lotus subreddit.
