The moon is full, guests are taking shots and kissing with tongue, and all of the wrong people are getting guns.

His total disinterest in Chloe’s extracurriculars reminds me of that time on 30 Rock when Jenna taught Jack to accept his role in as the father figure in his younger girlfriend’s Pokemon, to free himself from the pressure to, say, watch her friends DJ at a warehouse party in Brooklyn. Perfect one-liners here, including, “My parents are dead and my sister is a bitch” and, “I did exercise with tires.” As a writer I want to take a moment to note this incredible storytelling from Vlad, who has managed to convey his entire history — while also engaging in exciting, plot-moving conduct — in the sort of punchy, memorable fashion that I wish the rest of this series could adopt. Those Russian girls from the dance floor who are in some sort of entanglement with the gentlemen recklessly pursuing the victory-lap blondes; Alexei, who tells Laurie she “needs a man to take care of her” but also, I assume, is clocking her wealth for future grifting possibilities; the monkeys from the premiere, who I still believe are our most likely culprits, EITHER as killers themselves or as menaces who some panicked person will attempt to shoot out of the trees.
