The Vampire Diaries star, 35, found herself temporarily stuck in Austin amid the horrendous storms which saw winds reach as high as 78 miles per hour.
Claire Holt put on a dazzling display as she finally stepped out at Cannes Film Festival on Monday after her trip was delayed due to Texas' devastating storms She wrote in a snippet of her newsletter on Instagram: 'I'm supposed to be en route to Cannes right now, but after sitting on the tarmac for two hours thanks to an absolutely deranged thunderstorm, we were booted off the plane and I'm back in my Austin hotel room. 'I'll admit that my lip did quiver *slightly* as I unbuckled my seatbelt and dragged my ass back up the jet bridge, but then I reminded myself that there are worse things in life than being stuck in a cool city with a good book, a bath and a crispy glass of Pinot Grigio.'
