Almost 7M viewers watched the season two finale in January and now producers are said to be racing against time as they try to whittle down to just 22 hopefuls in time for filming.
The new series of smash hit show The Traitors has reportedly been thrown into chaos after the BBC was swamped with 300K applications (Host Claudia Winkleman pictured) Insiders have claimed producers are hoping to have the choice of a number of big stars who are themselves fans of the reality programme following the success of the first two series, which featured previously unknown contestants. They were joined by Courteney's long-term boyfriend Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid and Claudia's husband Kris Thykier, a film producer.
