The Temptations, Princess Cruises Band Together for Dual Diamond Celebration
Princess Cruises and The Temptations celebrate 60th anniversaries with a Mexican Riviera Voyage, featuring a special performance in December 2025.
And helping Whelan kick off the cruise line’s diamond anniversary year aboard the Los Angeles-docked Discovery Princess were The Temptations, who performed “My Girl.” Prior to the performance, Whelan described the upcoming voyage as a “trip down memory lane” as she recalled that The Temptations appeared as themselves on an episode of The Love Boat 40 years ago. Revisiting many of those same destinations, the Royal Princess will depart from the Port of Los Angeles with an itinerary including two overnight stays in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta, as well as visits to Loreto, Manzanilla and Mazatlan.
