The Sandlot's Patrick Renna Reveals He Was Almost Turtle on 'Entourage'

Patrick Renna, who famously played Ham in ‘The Sandlot,’ revealed to Us Weekly that he almost cast as Turtle on ‘Entourage’

“I auditioned for Entourage,” the Sandlot star, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the release of his new children’s book A Little Slugger’s Guide to the Unwritten Rules of Baseball and Life. The show, starring Adrian Grenier as Hollywood heartthrob Vinny Chase, became an HBO success story not long after its 2004 premiere. Sean Astin ended up playing Samwise, while Merry and Pippin went to Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd, respectively.
