The Roots and Grace Bowers to Headline WhyHunger’s Amplified Concert
The Roots and guitarist Grace Bowers will headline the show as part of WhyHunger's fundraising campaign in New York's Irving Plaza on Oct. 15.
The 2023 concert featured performances from Eric Krasno & Friends with Ivan Neville, Tony Hall and Nikki Glaspie, and special guests Celisse, Matisyahu. WhyHunger’s Executive Director Jenique Jones said, “We’re thrilled to hold our secondannual Amplified – a joyous celebration of music that raises awareness of our important mission.Nutritious food is a human right, but one often denied. We’re proud of our work worldwide toaddress the social, environmental, racial, and economic injustice at the root of hunger, and wehope you’ll join us in this ongoing journey toward justice.”
