The Repair Shop's Jay Blades lands huge TV deal with Channel 5 following break from BBC show


Jay Blades is set to explore his passion for British history in a new Channel 5 show - as he takes a break from the BBC series The Repair Shop.

TV presenter Jay Blades is buzzing about his latest gig, revealing: "I love these series, uncovering eye-opening, surprising and extraordinary facts about where we live. Jay Blade tries his hand at being a TV historian (Image: PA)The announcement of his new project comes amid personal turmoil for Blades, who has recently faced the collapse of his marriage to Lisa Marie Zbozen and the devastating murder of his uncle Richard Brathwaite in a brutal knife attack in north London this March. Word on the street is that he's set to front a brand-new spin-off called The Repair Shop on the Road, which will see him travelling around Blighty fixing up treasured possessions.
