BBC Repair Shop star Jay Blades has broken his silence on social media after it was revealed he had split from his wife Lisa Zbozen, with the pair announcing their separation last month
On Saturday, June 22, Jay opened up to his Instagram followers, revealing he chose to "take a pause" from posting on his account but briefly returned to pay tribute to Windrush Day, a celebration of the Caribbean community and their contributions to British society. Arriving from the Caribbean between 1948 and 1971, these individuals, including my grandmother, came to the UK to help rebuild the nation after World War II," he reminisced. Proudly emphasising their myriad impacts, he acknowledged: "They not only contributed to the economic growth of the UK but also brought vibrant cultural influences that have become integral to British identity.
