The reason why The Block contestants have yet to see a single cent of their prize money… and they aren't happy about it: 'They all want their cash'
Last year's contestants from The Block walked away with close to $3million in prize money.
According to the source, contestants on The Block agree to receive their prize money in three payments over an eight month period before appearing on the show. Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle on Thursday, the insider said that payments won't begin to be paid until February or March, which may leave some of the Blockheads financially 'thin'. All of the Blockheads are awaiting their cash including Steph and Gian who set a new record during the show's finale in November selling their incredible five-bedroom, four-bathroom Hampton East home for $5million.
