Sally, who played Phyllis in the 1970s show alongside Jenny Arguter, told the publication: 'No one attempted to contact me with regards to this sale and I am devastated as it is a large part of my history that cannot be replaced. In 1972 Sally was appearing in a Bovril advert when she was spotted by directors Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer, who cast her as dizzy blond Jo ITV sitcom Man About the House. Throughout the Seventies, she cemented her appeal as a comic sex symbol, spending three years on the hit show alongside Richard O'Sullivan and Paula Wilcox.
