The One Show axed in BBC schedule shakeup as host Angellica Bell shares statement

The One Show has been axed by BBC tonight as host Angellica Bell announced the last-minute news last night.

The pair was joined by Hollywood actor Alexander Skarsgård, Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones and legendary actress Dame Joanna Lumley on the green couch. She thanked her guests before announcing the show wouldn’t be returning to its usual Friday evening slot. In the meantime, Roman also promoted Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival, which kicks off today in Liverpool.
