The Muppets Studio Denies a ‘Muppet Show’ Revival Is In the Works
Disney's Muppets Studio has denied plans to reboot 'The Muppet Show,' despite reports of a potential revival in 2026
Deuxmoi reported in April 2025 that Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzy Bear and their friends were likely returning for a reboot of the classic Muppet Show format in 2026 — complete with celebrity guests and zany comedy sketches. While at a press conference ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, Mahomes, 28, was asked on Monday, February 5, to give his best Kermit the Frog impression a go, and the football player shut down the request immediately. Mark Hamill, Sylvester Stallone, Christopher Reeve, Diana Ross, Carol Burnett, Liza Minnelli, Alice Cooper and Roger Moore were among the many guest stars to appear on the comedy show throughout its run.
