The Last Dinner Party earn the biggest debut number one album by a band in NINE YEARS - after winning the BRIT Rising Star Award


The band's debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy went straight in at Number 1 on Friday night.

The band, made up of Abigail Morris, Lizzie Mayland, Emily Roberts, Georgia Davies and Aurora Nishevci secured 32,800 chart sales with their first album in the first week. The band performed live in the studio on the Graham Norton Show at the end of January before Abigail and Emily joined the TV host for a chat. Talking about their time on the BBC show they posted a picture of the guest lineup which included Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, and captioned it: 'In today’s episode of really very insane things that are happening to us
