In celebration of the New Yorker ‘s 100th anniversary this year, the legacy media brand partnered with a fellow Manhattan-bred staple for a limited-edition lineup of accessories and apparel. The collection is split between three edits: The Inside Scoop, curated by The New Yorker creative director Nicholas Blechman, includes a baseball cap, rugby shirt and that classic canvas tote bag (which sold out within minutes); Bold Types, modeled by writers Emily Sundberg and Krithika Varagur, include a cozy fleece hoodie and cropped graphic tee; and lastly Future Critics, an adorable collections of kids clothing for literary tots. With ambitions to grow her letter into some sort of media empire for her generation, as outlined in this glowing New York Times feature last week, she’s showing that legacy brands and forward-looking ventures can be (very stylish) friends.
