The heartwarming reason why Coldplay performed with Michael J. Fox at Glastonbury as it's revealed Chris Martin's son Moses inspired the 'mindblowing' collaboration between the band and their childhood hero

Coldplay clinched the prize for most memorable moment of Glastonbury 2024, when they performed a surprise duet with Michael J. Fox during their Saturday night headline slot.

Chris previously spoke about how seeing Michael playing Johnny B. Goode in one iconic scene from 1985's Back To The Future was his inspiration to become a musician and to form his band at University College London in 1996. In it Moses, whose mum is actress Gwyneth Paltrow, addressed his dad, telling him: 'I was just wondering if you could play a song from both of our favourite movies, Back To The Future. 'Well, if your son asks you to do something…,' Chris said, before starting The Penguins' Earth Angel, one of the songs Fox's character Marty McFly performed in Back To The Future's Enchantment Under the Sea dance, before the actor appeared on stage.
