The Hackers Who Stole the Eras Tour


Two people have been charged with stealing 900+ tickets and reselling them on StubHub.

A pair of alleged 1331 HAX0RS have been arrested in New York City and charged with stealing 900+ tickets, scalping them, and making more than $600,000 in profit. In a statement, the chief legal office of StubHub said that “ensuring a safe and secure platform for our fans is our highest priority. Upon discovering this criminal scheme, we immediately reported it to the third-party customer-service vendor, Sutherland Global Services, as well as to the Queens District Attorney’s Office and Jamaican law enforcement.” StubHub says it has replaced or refunded “all identified orders impacted.” Other pop stars whose tickets were yoinked by the crew include Ed Sheeran and Adele.
