The Godfather Part II and Full House Star John Aprea Dies
Aprea had parts in two decade-spanning familial sagas.
John Aprea — who played a young Tessio in The Godfather Part II and Uncle Jesse’s father in Full House — has died. Besides his roles in two of America’s greatest decades-spanning familial sagas, Aprea appeared in three Jonathan Demme films: Caged Heat, Crazy Mama, and his remake of The Manchurian Candidate. Coppola remembered Aprea when casting Part II and gave him the role of young Salvatore Tessio.
