The End of Che Diaz: Sara Ramirez Reportedly Exits ‘And Just Like That’

Sara Ramírez will not be returning to the third season of 'And Just Like That,' according to Variety and Deadline.

Ramirez, who uses they/them pronouns, played nonbinary standup comedian Che Diaz and was introduced as Miranda Hobbs’ (Cynthia Nixon) love interest in season one. While her characters has simultaneously annoyed and captivated viewers, Ramirez told Entertainment Weekly last year that “it’s really interesting to play a person who elicits such strong reactions and who can start much-needed conversations.” “I love that people have passionate opinions, that Che struck a nerve,” added Ramirez, noting they’re there to “elicit” conversations, not control them.
