The Culver Hotel Launching ‘The Golden Screen: A Cinema Series’ At The Culver Theater
The Culver Theater will play host to 'The Golden Screen: A Cinema Series,' a new screening series from The Culver Hotel and Amazon MGM.
The Culver HotelGreg Doherty/Getty Images Kicking off on Wednesday, February 26 with a screening of the Bond film Goldfinger, the series will present a curated selection of titles at the 80-seat venue, transporting audiences to Hollywood’s Golden Age, in celebration of the cinematic roots of The Culver Hotel and Culver City itself. The Culver Hotel has been at the heart of Culver City and Hollywood’s history since 1924, hosting everyone from Charlie Chaplin and Greta Garbo to John Wayne and the cast of The Wizard of Oz. The hotel was designed by Curlett & Beelman in collaboration with Golden Age pioneer Harry H. Culver, who enticed filmmakers to establish Culver City as a creative studio town, and is now operated by Proper Hospitality.
