The Boys Recap: Popularity Is Power
It’s always fun when The Boys goes espionage thriller mode.
Dakota Bob is full steam ahead with the planned Superhero Management Act, now with an amendment immediately banning supes from military, private policing, and government positions. Some of this, admittedly, feels a little reminiscent of Stormfront’s arc in season two: Sage is the new partner at Homelander’s side, and the attempted attack by a radicalized Firecracker fan at Starlight House reminds me of the Stormchaser who once killed an innocent grocery store employee he suspected of being a supe terrorist. There’s also really solid progress on the A-Train front, with the Boys’ newest informant directly involving himself in a plot to surveil a meeting between Homelander and Neuman during a Vought on Ice rehearsal at VoughtCoin Arena.
