Major League Baseball’s World Series has featured some iconic national anthem performances over the years, including Taylor Swift, H.E.R. and Jazmine Sullivan
New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo changed his walk-up song to Swift’s Reputation hit “Ready for It?” during a July 2023 game, instantly reversing his batting slump. Dressed in a floor-length black leather jacket, two-time Grammy winner Jazmine Sullivan put a soulful spin on the song during her performance before Game 5 between the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros. Less than 3 weeks before the release of her sophomore album Fearless, Pennsylvania native Taylor Swift performed the national anthem before Game 3 between the Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays.
