Ayo Edebiri opened up about why she gave Carson Daly her purse when she was announced as the winner of the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Emmy
Edebiri, 28, quickly handed Daly, 50, her things after she was announced the winner of the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy award for her role as Sdyney Adamu in The Bear at the Monday, January 15 ceremony. The Television Academy announced in August 2023 that the 75th annual ceremony was pushed to January 2024 amid actors, writers and other entertainment workers going on strike. Lionel Boyce, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt and Ebon Moss-Bachrach were among the first of the cast to hit the red carpet outside Peacock Theater.
