He’s exceptionally good at dealing with people now, and he’s finally, decades into his life, figured out how to bring together everything he knows to create harmony and magic for others, whether it’s Tiffany struggling with her mom’s absence during wedding-dress shopping or that California family who just wanted to see Chicago in winter. Since he’s Rob Reiner, your instinct is to think he’s benevolent, but is there a universe in which Albert’s just some scammy “hire me as your life coach” business dude who thought he’d be able to get one over on Ebra? We hopefully won’t have to wait long to see how that pans out, given the call he makes to Pete at the episode’s end, but I suspect whatever’s happening between Carmy and Claire right now is going to be more of a slow burn.
